299 Uttar Pradesh Tourism is stepping onto a global stage with its participation in IFTM Top Resa 2025, one of Europe’s largest travel and tourism fairs. Running from September 23–25 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, the event provides the state with a platform to promote its cultural wealth and spiritual heritage to a European audience. The state’s pavilion will highlight iconic destinations including the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the ghats of Varanasi, the Buddhist Circuit, and Agra’s Taj Mahal. Visitors will also discover Kannauj’s famed “Perfume Tourism,” which celebrates centuries-old natural fragrance-making traditions. Complementing these highlights, Uttar Pradesh will showcase its festivals—Dev Deepawali, Mahakumbh, Taj Mahotsav, and Rangotsav—alongside cuisine and performing arts. Tourism & Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said the initiative is about strengthening cultural appreciation and tourism exchange. “From the eternal ghats of Varanasi and the sanctity of Ayodhya to the living perfume traditions of Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh is proud to present its splendour to Europe,” he said. As the cradle of the Buddhist Circuit, the state offers pilgrims and history-seekers a journey through the life and teachings of Lord Buddha. Beyond spirituality, Uttar Pradesh’s attractions also include the holy confluence at Prayagraj and the cultural charm of Lucknow. Officials believe the Paris showcase will help Uttar Pradesh position itself as a leading global tourism destination. With France historically admiring India’s heritage, the presence at IFTM is seen as a chance to attract more European travellers and build sustained tourism ties.
