549 Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi) has named Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone as the emirate’s first Bollywood couple ambassadors, marking a major collaboration between Indian cinema and Middle Eastern tourism. The couple will headline “Experience Abu Dhabi Like Never Before”, a global multimedia campaign showcasing the destination’s architecture, art, adventure, and hospitality through a cinematic lens. The initiative is designed to deepen Abu Dhabi’s emotional connection with Indian travellers — one of its largest inbound markets. Shot across iconic landmarks such as the Louvre Abu Dhabi, Saadiyat Island, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, and Yas Marina Circuit, the campaign integrates Bollywood storytelling with lifestyle and travel experiences. “Abu Dhabi is a city that blends culture, luxury, and adventure in perfect harmony. To represent it as a couple is truly special,” said Deepika Padukone. Ranveer Singh added that the campaign “captures the magic of discovery and shared experiences that define modern travel.” With India contributing over 1 million visitors annually, the partnership reflects Abu Dhabi’s strategy of combining celebrity influence with experiential marketing. Tourism officials said the move also strengthens its ties with the Indian entertainment industry, following successful collaborations with production houses for film shoots and brand integrations. The campaign will run across digital, cinema, and television platforms in India, the UAE, and key global markets.
