Uber continues to prioritize safety by bolstering its Safety Advisory Board with the addition of two distinguished members. Former U.S. Assistant Secretary of Labor, John L. Henshaw, and former Chief Judge of New York Court of Appeals, Janet DiFiore, bring extensive experience in worker health and safety, criminal justice reform, and community engagement to the board.

During his tenure at OSHA, Henshaw spearheaded efforts to improve worker safety and health, while DiFiore’s leadership in the New York judiciary system underscores her commitment to legal interpretations and decisions.

Henshaw and DiFiore join a diverse board comprising experts in various fields such as gender-based violence prevention, road safety, public health, and law enforcement. Collaborating closely with this esteemed panel, Uber aims to develop prevention policies, enhance safety measures, and drive systemic change on societal safety issues through proactive campaigns and engagement initiatives.
