77 GSK has announced the appointment of Dr. Jeannie Lee as a Non-Executive Director to the Company’s Board. Dr. Lee currently holds the Phillip A. Sharp, PhD, Endowed Chair in Molecular Biology and serves as Acting Chair of the Department of Molecular Biology at Massachusetts General Hospital. Additionally, she holds the position of Professor of Genetics (and Pathology) at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Lee is widely recognized as a pioneer in RNA Biology and has made significant contributions to drug development and therapeutics. She co-founded Translate Bio and Fulcrum Therapeutics, two biotech companies specializing in RNA and epigenetic therapies. Acknowledged for her outstanding contributions, Dr. Lee is a Member of the National Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Medicine. She is also a Harrington Rare Disease Scholar of the Harrington Discovery Institute and has received prestigious awards such as the Lurie Prize from the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health and the Molecular Biology Prize from the National Academy of Sciences, U.S.A. Dr. Lee’s expertise has been recognized by her appointment as a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and her service on the Board of the Genetics Society of America.
