Lee Young-hee is Samsung Electronics’ very first female president. She has been named head of global marketing for Samsung Electronics’ Device eXperience (DX) division, which includes the company’s mobile phone and home appliance divisions.

The South Korean electronics company has never previously appointed a female executive to this post. Furthermore, Young-hee is not a member of the founding family.
