194 Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN), a subsidiary of the Saudi Public Investment Fund, is set to invest SR1.3 billion ($347.8 million) in constructing a new entertainment destination in the Asir region. Spanning 64,000 sq. meters and strategically positioned between Abha and Khamis Mushait, the project covers a building area of 79,000 sq. meters, making it a unique entertainment destination. Prince Turki bin Talal Al-Saud, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asir Development Authority, highlighted SEVEN’s role in making Asir a global destination. The project, designed by Gensler, reflects SEVEN’s commitment to enhancing the entertainment sector and aligning with Vision 2030 goals. The Abha destination will consist of eight distinct entertainment zones, including a family recreation center, Discovery Adventures area in collaboration with Warner Bros., a multi-use hall for events, an indoor track for electric go-karts, and a futuristic bowling alley. The site will also feature a Play-Doh area, an AMC cinema hall with ten screens, and integrated spaces with restaurants, cafes, and retail stores. SEVEN aims to contribute significantly to the entertainment sector, creating destinations that meet the diverse needs of Saudi society while adhering to international standards. With an investment of over SR50 billion, SEVEN plans to construct 21 locations offering cutting-edge experiences. The Abha destination is expected to contribute more than SR4 billion to the GDP, attracting over 5 million visitors by 2030 and generating numerous job opportunities in the Asir region. The project underlines SEVEN’s commitment to Vision 2030 and its role in advancing the entertainment landscape in Saudi Arabia.
