103 Allstate has revealed that customers who opt for the safe driving features within the Allstate app are demonstrating safer driving behavior, leading to a significant decrease in severe collisions. Collaborating with Arity, their mobility data and analytics partner, Allstate’s findings indicate a 25% lower likelihood of severe collisions among users of the Drivewise feature compared to non-users. Research conducted by Arity further supports these findings, revealing that Drivewise customers exhibit reduced phone usage while driving, lower instances of speeding, and fewer hard braking incidents compared to other connected drivers, with reductions of up to 44%. Drivewise, an optional usage-based insurance feature accessible through the Allstate app, provides customers with feedback on their driving behavior after each trip, offering potential savings on their insurance premiums. Ginger Purgatorio, Executive Vice President at Allstate, emphasized the importance of providing customers with the option to tailor their insurance premiums based on their driving habits. The data suggests that those who choose to utilize Drivewise not only experience fewer accidents but also have the opportunity to save on their auto insurance premiums, reflecting a win-win scenario for both safety and cost savings.
