217 Erstwhile COO of Bombay Shaving Company, Deepak Gupta, has been given the added designation of co-founder. According to sources in Visage Lines Personal Care Pvt. Ltd. – the parent company of Bombay Shaving Company – their revenue grew over 6 times under Gupta’s leadership. Founder and CEO Shantanu Deshpande said, “his intellect, delivery, and the trust the entire organisation and board place in him is notable”, while commenting on the massive transformation the organization has seen since Gupta’s joining. Gupta has led the organization’s multiple forays into new directions, and guided its growth into an omnichannel business – adding new brands like Bombae (women’s hair removal), and new D2C services. Launched in 2016, the organization acquired Gupta in 2019 (from Colgate-Palmolive) – and now boasts of more than 250 employees, with what looks like a bright future ahead.
