According to the Jio Platforms-owned company, which builds business commerce platforms for businesses within WhatsApp, many early adopters have made WhatsApp their primary route for retail sales. Marketing, commerce, and customer service use cases are rapidly emerging, and even more, are being developed.

The JioMart chatbot launched in November 2021, becoming the first end-to-end shopping channel on WhatsApp. Since then, the channel has achieved a 68% repeat purchase rate, with over 1500 daily orders on average.
