Derek Magness, Managing Director of Chevron’s Eurasia Business Unit, emphasized Chevron’s commitment to assisting Kazakhstan during this crisis. He highlighted the crucial role of these resources in addressing immediate community needs amid the flooding. Chevron has been a longstanding partner in Kazakhstan for over 30 years, investing more than $460 million in social projects in the country. In 2020, Chevron was among the largest contributors in Kazakhstan’s COVID-19 response, donating over $20 million in medicines and equipment.
