Nomura has appointed Hamzah Kahloon as the co-head of global markets sales for Asia excluding Japan, effective immediately. Based in Hong Kong, Kahloon will collaborate with Corrinne Teo in driving innovation and growth in Nomura’s solutions business. Their joint responsibilities will cover sales, with Teo focusing on flow sales and Kahloon on structured sales. The appointment positions Kahloon to report to Samir Patel, Nomura’s head of global market sales, and John Goff, Nomura’s head of global markets structuring. Kahloon will also become a member of Nomura’s global sales executive committee and the Asia ex-Japan global markets executive committee.

Coming from BNP Paribas, Kahloon brings valuable experience from various senior leadership roles, including heading FICC and equity structuring, strategic equity, structured capital markets, and corporate credit solutions sales in the Asia-Pacific region. Before his tenure at BNP Paribas, he held significant leadership positions in structuring, origination, and trading within the emerging markets division at Deutsche Bank in London. This strategic appointment aligns with Nomura’s vision for advancing its global markets sales in the dynamic Asia-Pacific market.
