AutoZone is making significant progress towards its target of establishing over 200 mega hubs within its network, aimed at enhancing inventory placement and broadening parts availability, executives revealed during a recent earnings call on February 27.

Currently, the auto parts retailer boasts 101 mega hubs, strategically positioned to accommodate up to 110,000 SKUs and facilitate swift inventory replenishment at satellite locations across nearby markets.

Jamere Jackson, CFO of AutoZone, emphasized the impact of mega hubs on the overall network, stating, “The fulfillment capability for the surrounding AutoZone stores is giving our customers access to tens of thousands of additional parts and lifting the entire network.”
