In the wake of late-April storms wreaking havoc across Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri, American Family Insurance Group is mobilizing its claims professionals to assist impacted customers. The storms, which unleashed tornados and severe weather, inflicted significant damage particularly in neighborhoods near Omaha, Nebraska, where numerous homes were either damaged or obliterated.

Amidst the aftermath, over 1,000 claims have been lodged across the affected regions. Among those affected are Doug and Greta Schlabs, residents of Blair, Nebraska, whose home bore the brunt of a tornado, leaving it completely destroyed. Despite the daunting task of rebuilding their lives, the Schlabs express gratitude for their safety and the assurance that their insurer stands by them.

Greta Schlabs shared, “I filed that claim online immediately because I understand the urgency, especially in such catastrophic situations. I know that swift action is crucial. It’s heartening to know we have the support we need during these challenging times, especially witnessing the plight of neighbors without insurance.”
