238 On Tuesday, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shokry embarked on a visit to Washington with the primary objective of strengthening bilateral strategic relations. During his stay, Minister Shokry is scheduled to engage with various members of Congress, participate in meetings with representatives from prominent think tanks, and conduct press interviews. Moreover, on Thursday, Minister Shokry will join the Arab-Islamic Delegation, a collective effort aimed at addressing the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip. The delegation, consisting of foreign ministers from Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, Turkey, Indonesia, Nigeria, and Palestine, along with the secretaries of the Arab League (AL) and the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC), plans to meet with the U.S. Secretary of State, Congress members, and media representatives. This diplomatic initiative follows a November tour undertaken by the delegation to several permanent member states of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
