Epidemic Sound, a platform for royalty-free soundtracks released its annual report which gave insight into the rise in the usage of classical music among modern content creators.

According to the analysis, classical music ranked sixth in terms of downloads in 2022 and saw the most year-over-year growth (64%) between 2021 and 2022.

Genre is a highly-desired choice for creators across all content categories because of its adaptability, which enables it to have a dynamic range of emotions, adapt itself to a wide array of interpretations, and lend itself to a plethora of genres.

Based on the data, YouTube creators from the comedy, education, entertainment, gaming, how-to, and style, as well as news and politics, science, and technology categories have utilized classical music.
