328 Telangana is gearing up to launch its very first man-made beach near Kothwalguda, around 20 km from Gachibowli. The Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TSTDC) has finalized the detailed project report and plans to invest approximately ₹225 crore for this 35-acre leisure destination. This isn’t just about sand and surf—it’s a full-fledged lifestyle proposition. The beach will feature luxury floating villas, high-end hotels, adventure sports like sailing, bungee jumping, skating, and water-based thrills. Additional attractions include a wave pool, fountains, open-air theatres, shacks, restaurants, cycling paths, and dedicated children’s play zones. Project planners anticipate that this groundbreaking initiative will transform Hyderabad’s tourism landscape. A senior TSTDC official explained, “This will not be just water, sand and shacks. It is envisioned as a project that will place Hyderabad on the global tourism map.” The location was strategically chosen for its accessibility via the Outer Ring Road and available land. Currently, Hyderabad’s nearest beach option, Suryalanka in Andhra Pradesh, lies over 300 km away, highlighting the project’s potential to redefine local recreation. This initiative signals a new era for urban leisure in Telangana, blending luxury, adventure, and accessibility. Once complete, residents and tourists can enjoy beach fun without the need for long-distance travel—creating a fresh identity for Hyderabad’s outdoor lifestyle offerings.
