WhatsApp, the popular instant messaging application, has announced that it will be ending support for certain older devices on December 31, 2022. This decision has been made in order to continue introducing new features to the platform, and as a result, some Android phones by brands such as Samsung and Huawei, as well as certain iPhone models, will no longer be able to run the application.

It’s worth noting that most of the affected devices are relatively old models, so it’s likely that many users have already upgraded to newer phones. If you own one of the impacted devices and use WhatsApp frequently, it may be time to consider upgrading to a newer model that will continue to receive support. Here are the smartphones that won’t be able to run WhatsApp post the latest updates –

In the meantime, WhatsApp recommends that users on affected devices update to the latest available version of the app to continue using it until the December 31 deadline. After that date, the app will no longer function on these devices.
