The partnership between DIFC Academy and Global Cyber Alliance (GCA) is aimed at addressing critical cybersecurity challenges facing small businesses in the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) and the wider UAE. With the increasing number of cyber threats in the region, the collaboration seeks to arm professionals and organizations with the necessary tools and strategies to mitigate cyber risks effectively.
The joint initiative will make the GCA Cybersecurity Toolkit for Small Business available through the DIFC Academy’s School of Future Skills. This toolkit provides actionable strategies for small businesses and entrepreneurs to enhance their cybersecurity posture, particularly in the face of rising cyber threats.
Christian Kunz, Chief Strategy, Innovation, and Ventures Officer at DIFC Authority, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, emphasizing the shared commitment to shaping a resilient digital future. The partnership aligns with DIFC Academy’s goal of equipping learners with cutting-edge cybersecurity skills and fostering a community prepared to navigate the evolving digital landscape.
Brian Cute, GCA Capacity & Resilience Program Director, highlighted the importance of the small business toolkit in reducing the risk of ransomware and cyber-attacks. By implementing the cyber hygiene measures outlined in the toolkit, small businesses can strengthen their cybersecurity defenses and protect their digital assets.
