Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff has publicly endorsed Google’s Gemini 3 as a major leap forward in generative AI, calling it a “breakthrough” and announcing that he has entirely shifted from OpenAI’s ChatGPT to Gemini for all his AI use. The statement, posted on X (formerly Twitter), adds a new chapter to the unfolding AI platform race—especially notable given Benioff’s stature as a long-time tech visionary and one of the most prominent figures in enterprise software.

“I’ve moved from ChatGPT to Gemini 3 for all my work. It’s a breakthrough,” Benioff wrote, reinforcing the growing narrative around Google’s momentum in the generative AI space. Gemini 3, launched as part of Google’s broader AI push, has positioned itself as a multimodal model built for both productivity and performance—capable of handling text, image, and code inputs with more contextual intelligence.

While OpenAI’s ChatGPT has been the market leader and household name since late 2022, Google’s latest releases under the Gemini banner are aggressively narrowing the perceived quality gap. Benioff’s endorsement serves as a signal to other business leaders who are evaluating long-term AI tools for internal and customer-facing operations.

Google has already embedded Gemini into a number of its products, including Workspace, Pixel, and Android. With enterprise leaders like Benioff taking a public stance, Gemini may find a stronger foothold across business verticals—particularly where trust, scale, and integration with existing infrastructure are non-negotiables.

The post also reflects a broader trend of enterprise executives experimenting with and switching between large language models based on speed, reliability, and real-world utility—not just early hype.
