Otis Worldwide Corporation has recently collaborated with the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (CSCLF) to award scholarships to 160 exceptional female students at leading Chinese universities, furthering STEM education in the country.

The recipients, chosen for their outstanding academic achievements in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields, hail from eight prestigious universities including Tianjin University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Wuhan’s Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

This initiative builds upon Otis’ ongoing efforts to support STEM education in China. Since 2021, the company has provided scholarships to over 400 top-performing female STEM students, aiming to encourage diversity and excellence in the industry.

In addition to scholarships, Otis is actively involved in initiatives such as the Soong Ching Ling Children’s Invention Award Project, aiming to engage students at various stages of their education journey.

Earlier this year, Otis provided educational robots to primary and middle schools recognized for their excellence in innovation by CSCLF. This initiative aims to enhance science and technology education, introduce students to artificial intelligence (AI) technology, and inspire young talent through hands-on learning experiences.
