139 Farmers Insurance has welcomed Eric Coleman to its team as the newly appointed President of Business Insurance, effective April 10. In his new role, Coleman will lead commercial underwriting, product development, strategy, finance, and new market initiatives for the Farmers® business insurance division. He will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Raul Vargas. Bringing over two decades of experience in the insurance industry, Eric Coleman joins Farmers from Nationwide, where he held several senior leadership positions within their commercial business segment throughout his career. His most recent role at Nationwide involved leading the small commercial business unit, overseeing a diverse national product portfolio, and managing regional operations, underwriting, processing, and sales. Prior to his tenure at Nationwide, Coleman spent over five years at Travelers, serving in regional leadership roles and contributing to home office product management. Coleman’s extensive expertise and leadership experience are expected to further strengthen Farmers Insurance’s position in the business insurance market as the company continues to grow and innovate its offerings.
