133 AECOM, a global infrastructure consulting firm, has announced that its joint venture with Stantec has been awarded a five-year environmental planning contract by the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Pacific. The contract aims to provide environmental planning services primarily within the Pacific Region to ensure Navy and Marine Corps compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Lara Poloni, President of AECOM, expressed enthusiasm about the continuation of their partnership with NAVFAC Pacific, highlighting the joint venture’s technical expertise, regional knowledge, and commitment to digital innovations, such as digital NEPA tools and virtual stakeholder engagement. The single-award contract, with an indefinite-delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) structure and a ceiling value of $99 million, tasks the Stantec GS-AECOM Pacific joint venture with researching, preparing, updating, and reviewing Navy and Marine Corps documents for NEPA compliance. Additionally, the scope of work encompasses environmental, facilities, and land use planning studies. Emphasizing a dedication to supplier diversity, the joint venture has assembled a skilled team of specialty subcontractors, including small businesses from historically underutilized zones (HUBZones), woman-owned enterprises, Native Hawaiian 8(a) firms, veteran-owned businesses, and small disadvantaged enterprises.
