136 In line with its commitment to supporting sustainability initiatives, Airbnb has announced a partnership with ChargePoint, a leading provider of networked charging solutions for electric vehicles (EVs). This collaboration aims to facilitate the installation of EV chargers at Airbnb listings, thereby expanding access to EV charging infrastructure across the United States. The decision to partner with ChargePoint comes as searches for listings with EV chargers surged by over 80 percent from 2022 to 2023 According to internal Airbnb data, listings that offer an EV charger tend to be booked for more nights and generate higher income compared to listings without this amenity. To streamline the process for hosts, Airbnb has introduced a new listings editor in the Listings tab, allowing hosts to easily showcase and manage various details of their home, including amenities such as EV charging access. This enhancement is designed to make Airbnb listings more appealing to guests who drive electric vehicles.
